8:59 - Waiting for Bush to take the stand... justices are walking in now.. i'm already feeling sick. Wolf Blitzer rambling on CNN and Chris Matthews on MSNBC... I won't even bother to check FOX. I'll stick with C-SPAN.
9:03 - Condi, Rummy, and the rest of the gang are walking in. Alito looks like a ADHD kid on Ritalin. Still waiting on Bush. Laura is standing with her black guy on one side and Afghan woman on the other side. I don't know if I can take this - and Bush hasn't even started speaking yet.
8:05 - Still waiting on Bush. They are probably having problems getting his earpiece to stay in. I'd like the see the Democrats have little or no applause when Bush enters, but somehow, with the cowardly Democrats we have right now, I don't think that is going to happen.
8:06 - Bush coming in now with his fellow Republican cronies from the House and Senate. He has to stop and shake hands and act like he wants to catch up with all the "little people." Dear Lord, Please let the power go out in D.C.
8:08 - He finally made it to the stand. Dang (yeah i'm from the south) HOW LONG ARE THEY GOING TO KEEP CLAPPING? Cheney has his usual evil smirk on his face.
8:10 - Now they are clapping again.
8:12 - He's talking about Coretta Scott King now. Everyone is clapping again. Now's he's babbling on about how it is his "Honor" to lie to America... Ok maybe not those words exactly.
8:13 - He says's the State of the Union is strong... big surprise. WOW his first word tonight - Isolationism

8:14 - It's time for 9-11 refrences. And don't forget WMD's, Terrorists, Freedom, and Democracy. I'm gonna hurl.
8:15 - Iraq is better off - women are better off - and their freedom depends on US. They love us there - and they want us to stay. Happy Happy Joy Joy!
8:17 - Terrorists us fear against us. I agree with him on that. He does use fear to control the American people. Now he's saying we love our freedom and we will fight to keep it. Another thing I agree with him on. All Americans need to STAND UP and DEMAND TRUTHFUL ANSWERS!
8:19 - Cue Applause - Bush: "The U.S. will never surrender to Evil." REALLY? I thought we did that back in November 2004.
8:21 - "We are rebuilding Iraq" (really?) The number of Iraqis living below the poverty line has increased since the fall of the regime of Saddam Hussein in 2003 to one-fifth of the population. And, Only 49 of the 136 projects that were originally pledged to improve Iraq's water and sanitation will be finished, with about 300 of an initial 425 projects to provide electricity. "We are proud to their allies." Really, because according to a Zogby poll Majorities of Iraq's Sunni Arabs (82%) and Shiites (69%) favor U.S. forces withdrawing from Iraq.
8:22 - There it is - "I am confident. We are winning." I guess 2,000+ U.S. deaths and "30,000 more or less" Iraqi civilian deaths, counts as winning.
8:25 - Now he is using the "Support Our Troops" card as usual. Apparently, to support our troops you have to support the man who sent them to die when he lied and continues to lie.
8:30 - Now he's preparing for his next war - Iran because they are making Nukuler weapons.
8:30 - He's talking about terrorism again. He's trying to play the fear card again. And there is it - Pass the Patriot Act. If you don't pass the Patriot Act WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!
8:34 - He is defending the warrentless wiretaps now. Apparantly, Grannies Against Bush are a threat to America. We must wiretap fellow Americans (without warrents) because it's best for America. If we don't then the Grannies will attack.
8:38 - Our Economy is good. Don't listen to the Democrats. They don't want Americans to have a good economy. Don't mind the fact that the Bush Admin is spending BILLIONS of dollars on the war that they lied about (although that obviously isn't enough to give the troops armor). Cut taxes. Cut taxes. Make tax cuts permenant.
8:41 - He'll cut the deficit in half by 2009. Don't mind the fact that there wasn't a deficit before Bush came into office. His dad likes him and Clinton (heh heh heh)
8:46 - Buy American. (applause) Secure the borders. (applause) We have made health care affordable (wow.. that actually didn't get hardly any applause). Pass medical liability reform because it doesn't matter if your doctor screws up, you don't deserve any money - accidents happen. (applause)
8:49 - Oil is bad and we should use less (even though the country we invaded has plenty of it - by chance of course.) We will research alternative power sources for cars (although scientists have already discovered bettery alternatives.)
8:52 - America should be creative. No child left behind is wonderful (even though it has cut funding for schools). Kids should learn math and science. "America should become a more hopeful nation". The number of children born to teenage mothers has been falling over the past 10 years. (Boy, that will change now that Alito is on the Supreme Court and Roe v. Wade is out the window.)
8:53 - "Never give into the belief that America is in the decline" - Even though it is.
8:54 - Roberts and Alito are good judges. Thank you to the Senate for confirming them. Thank you Democrats for being cowards. Bye Bye Sandra (applause)
8:56 - Fetus - Embryo - Embryo - Fetus - Unborn child. (applause)
8:57 - Bush and other Republicans are VERY ethical
8:59 - Black people have AIDS. George W. Bush loves Black people. George W. Bush wants to help Black people with AIDS.

Wow, excellent play by play. I did not watch the speech, but you told me all I needed to know.
You have a quick wit and snappy comebacks, I'm very impressed. I actually laughed at some of your irreverent descriptions.

How do we do this when his buddies are outsourcing everything? If I only buy American made products, there will be some things I have to go without, like shoes and underwear.
How pathetic is it when you shatter all records for the highest deficits in history and then brag that you'll cut them in half?

Maybe he'd care to explain why his oil industry buddies lobbied for years against the import of hybrid cars while American automakers stalled around throughout those same years before finally deciding to add hybrid technology to cars made here. The technology has been available for years to build electric cars and hybrid electric cars that use VERY little gas. In fact, the first cars were electric and then the gas engines were added to make hybrids. Then the elecric motors were eliminated in the early 1900's.
Maybe he'd care to explain why he wants to invade terrorist countries that are large exporters of oil while ignoring other countries with terrorists and no oil.
