I'm going to be at Camp Casey to support peace - are you?
Later this month and early September I'm going to be joining Cindy Sheehan and other peace activists at Camp Casey III. Camp Casey is run soley through donations and volunteers, so if you are able please help make this years as powerful as last year. Below is an email I recieve that tells you how to help support Camp Casey. Hope to see ya'll there!
My awesome Uncle and I are leaving for Camp Casey tomorrow morning and will be there for the remainder of the event. Because of this the next site update will not be until September 4th. I'm going to take a laptop with me and hopefully I will be able to find a net connection close to the camp. If I do, I'll be blogging and posting photos. I've started on a new video also that I plan on finishing up when I return. If you don't have plans and want to attend the camp you can find info at www.gsfp.org, and If you are already planning to attend Camp Casey I'll see you there!
Tomorrow (Tuesday August 15th) I'll be a guest on the Charles Goyette Show. Tune in from 6am(PST) to 6:30am to listen to the interview. You can listen on KFNX 1100am on the radio or stream live online.
WACO, Texas - After spending 37 days on a liquid diet and protesting in 100-degree weather, anti-war demonstrator Cindy Sheehan was hospitalized Friday night for dehydration and exhaustion.
But she says she won't stop her protests against the Iraq war on land she bought near President Bush's ranch in Crawford.
"Everything will still go on," Sheehan, 49, told The Associated Press. "I hope I can get there soon."
Sheehan, 49, was listed in stable condition at Providence Health Center in Waco, about 20 miles east of Crawford. She said she would likely be released later Saturday, but would miss an afternoon barbecue at Camp Casey, the protester camp named for her soldier son who was killed in Iraq in 2004.
I'm asking everyone to please send prayers Cindy's way. If you don't pray then please just send good vibes and thoughts her way.
Break out the champagne - nonalcoholic of course - LIEberman is done! Joe just conceded the Dem primary. Ned is speaking on C-SPAN now! TURN IT ON and watch!!! Joe says he'll still run as an Indy, but we all know that is a lost cause. Throw in the towel Joe, it's over!!
Right now Lamont is ahead, but it's way too early to really tell.
Update XXVII: BUH BYE Joe! Joe just conceded the Dem primary. Says he'll still run as an Indy. He also decided to make a stupid remark about his website being "hacked." No one is falling for it Joe! Pay your bill and quit complaining.
People are claiming that Joe Lieberman's site was hacked by the Lamont people. Me - I think Joe hacked his own site so it would look like Lamont hacked it so people would be mad at him and vote for Joe instead. Or Maybe Joe hacked it thinking that people would think that Ned hacked it because he thought people would think that Joe hacked it and tried to make it look like Ned hacked it.
Today Connecticut voters decide. Today they decide whether they want a U.S. Senator that is going to stand up for what they want or a Senator that continues to arrogantly support the Bush Administration despite the mounting amount of Americans who disapprove of his policies. Voters will decide whether they want a Democratic Senator who is a real Democrat, or if they want one that votes alongside Republicans. I have confidence that today Connecticut voters will make the right decision and that Ned Lamont will be their next U.S. Senator.
